The Genesis of Exodus

All too common, the rhetoric in the United States frames the arrival of Central American migrants as a story that begins at the U.S./Mexico border. This film dives into a much deeper and more complicated journey that begins in the homes, schools, and streets of Central American towns. The majority of these are plagued with the effects of policies and interference by outside governments and businesses dating back hundreds of years. These policies affect everyday people and families, many of whom, eventually make the difficult decision to journey north in search of safety, stability, and opportunity. Walk through the countries identified as the Northern Triangle with the Office of Immigration Issues of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) as they attempt to unravel the root causes of migration from this area of rich and diverse people.
